Together for Dresden

Under the motto “Together for Dresden – together for cohesion in our city” it is our goal to promote intercultural dialogue and to actively stand up for democracy and civil courage!

Against this background we would like to bring together Dresden women and men with and without migration and/or refugee background through this workshop series, which will provide the opportunity for participants to come together for conversation to create a Dresden in which democracy and diversity are respected and lived by all.

With the help of experienced trainers, we will deal with important aspects of democratic action and strengthen social cohesion by:

  • Expanding our understanding of fundamental and human rights and questioning and discussing their significance for our daily lives together.
  • Approaching the issue of equality between women and men in a diverse society and exchanging views on our own and social images of masculinity and femininity.
  • Learning and understanding democratic coexistence in our society and experiencing democratic principles for everyday life in playful exercises in a special training.
  • Assuming responsibility and working together to decide what can be done by each individual to contribute to greater social acceptance in Dresden where everyone has a voice and feels welcome, valued, and engaged.

If you are interested in making a difference, contributing your voice and learning from others, then we welcome you to sign up for the workshop!
