Capacity Building and Training

ARDI believes in enabling Syrian women, men, girls, and boys with the skills, tools, and confidence to increase the resilience and wellbeing of their communities through a wide variety of unique approaches across all sectors of society. ARDI has extensive training and capacity building experience, including adapting existing training materials as well as researching, designing, and developing new training materials and toolkits, on a broad range of subject areas and tailored for a diverse range of training participants.

Initially, we conduct rapid assessments of participant and organizational needs and constraints in order to design and facilitate relevant trainings based on identified needs. We develop and adapt tools and training materials to enhance participant knowledge and skills. We use updated, engaging adult learning techniques to deliver interactive capacity building workshops, training sessions, and distance-based technical support that allow participants to practice newly developed skills and ensure that they truly understood the material presented. We use an array of media and interactive exercises to create engaging and participatory sessions that are tailored specially to compliment each group’s unique needs and goals – all within the security and social context of the local environment.

Our wide range of training experience allows us to deliver high-quality workshops customized for any level participant. ARDI has designed and led training and capacity building workshops—including train-the trainer sessions— for a wide range of international donors and have held sessions across Syria, Turkey, and (soon) in Germany.
